
WITH her trademark black bob and eccentric dress sense, Jessie J gave her legions of fans a supercharged performance in Cardiff at the weekend.
Arguably the British version of Lady Gaga. the singer stepped out in a beige and cream figure hugging two-piece, that would have looked ridiculous on most people, but like her usual laid back style, she carried it off with ease.
With the capacity crowd in good spirits following a rapping warm-up from support act Devlin, she gave fans a soulful start before bursting into ‘Who’s Laughing Now’, which sent the mixed age audience into a singing frenzy.
Saturday’s concert was nearly too much excitement two young boys in front of me, who in an audience which was mostly female, sang every word of each song, jumping up and down waving their arms frantically.
Whilst they were desperate to get noticed by the strong singer, who mixed more soulful pieces with her monstrous ‘Do It Like a Dude’ and ‘Nobody’s Perfect’, it was two youngsters who caught her eye and were invited to sing with her on stage.
Sitting in front of the lit-up ‘Jessie J’ background, the trio sang their rendition of Price Tag, which probably received the best response of the show, and definitely made their night one to remember.
